Jim has had this truck since he turned 16. It was his first vehicle and the most coveted of all the brother's first vehicles.
Uncle W's first car was a cadillac. The teller at the local bank once told Mr. & Mrs. B. that she saw W earlier that day. She said, "Yes, I saw him driving up. He kept coming and coming and coming, and then when he left he kept going and going and going.
It's always been on Jim's heart to bring it back and 'fix it up.' One of his major Christmas presents was to get a tune-up and bring it back to live on our driveway. It was living at his parent's house since we got married. They found more uses for the ole' truck than we ever could.
The kids love it. Especially Nathan. The engine has a low, deep gurgling sound and when you sit on the seats, you sink down, making it feel larger. Commanding the roadway.
It's running, but as always, there's a laundry list of things Jim would love to do to it and little funds to follow through.
I'm glad it's back.
I mean, I'm glad Russel is back.
