Tampa Zoo in November

It's only 6 months later and I'm trying to remember what happened on this trip, so here goes.

We decided to get the annual passes to the Tampa Zoo this year, thinking the Disney Days would be out of the question.  So here's our first trip...

The Budgies cage was a big hit with the kids.  Not so much with Daddy.  I grew up with a parakeet named Freckles so this area was familiar to me.

Nathan's lack of fear came in good handy for feeding them.

Holding them also.

Katherine took a little while to warm up to holding them, but once she got it, she was great at it.

Brandon was more interested in eating the bird food.

Do you ever wonder how many times YOU photobomb other people's photos?  I do.  Often.

This one was taken for Mr. John and his staghorn.

There we are, me, K & N, coming down the splash log flume.

As much as I can't stand him inserting germs from EVERYWHERE into his mouth because of his thumb, I will miss it dearly when he's outgrown it.

Nothing like teaching an 18-month-old to reach for pretty snakes.

Nathan is making a face like the komodo dragon behind him.

Nathan making a face like the orangutang behind him.

He's so dramatic!

Katherine's favorite part of the aviary.  The chain doorway.
