End of school year awards

Thankfully, Daddy was able to get off of work to watch the boys so I could see Katherine's awards ceremony.  What a cool thing it is to watch my baby growing up and thriving.

Nathan quote of the day

[I did the best I could to phonetically spell out his vernacular, but I just couldn't pull it off like Twain.  Just replace all 'r' sounds with 'w', 'th' sounds with 'd', and 'l' sounds with 'w'.  His mispronunciations are so precious, they're worth documenting.  And certainly nothing to be concerned with, yet.]

The 'everyday' car ride

I know one day I'll look back at these videos and miss ALL the sounds in our car.  This is just a usual day, usual chatter, driving down the road, after eating supper with Mr. John and Mrs. Patsy.

They gave the kids the duck call which was a huge hit.  With the kids. :)

Off to work

Monster Jam 2012

Don't know how I missed blogging about Monster Jam, which they went to in back February, but here goes.

Nathan received Monster Jam tickets again for part of his Christmas present.  Him, Daddy and Mr. John made the trek down to Tampa to go watch the over-sized wrecking machines woo the truck-lovers.

They leave right after nap time, eat supper together and get settled in the Family section of the stadium, just in time for the show to begin.  They usually have time to go visit the pirate ship also.

 

Nathan was eager to wear ear protection this year, last year not so much.  But then again, a lot happens from 2 to 3 years old.

 

 

He got to see his favorite trucks compete against each other.

I hear they had a good time.  While they were gone, Katherine, Brandon and I went out to eat with Mrs. Patsy (Mr. John's better half).  Same thing we did last year except it was just us girls last year.

You know the self-proclaimed Princess and the Pea is tired when she falls asleep sitting up, holding a remote, with a baby spread across her legs.

Matching Missies

Katherine was given this dress by her cousin shown here for her 5^th birthday (I think).  They love to call each other up on Sunday mornings and plan on wearing their matching dresses.  It’s very cute.  It’s also given Katherine the opportunity to dial the phone, request to speak to R, have a discussion with her about coordinating their outfits and throw some more chat in there just for little girls’ sake.

What a cute idea!

I’ve enjoyed watching this whole scenario play out and seeing them arrive at church with their matching monogrammed dresses.
